• Although a Bluetooth switch interface can be used to connect a switch for scanning, there is no mounting option designed for this model.

The device features a rugged construction should you need it, then the tough case is added for extra protection 

We also include a strap so you can wear the device across your shoulder or a carry handle.

The high quality Bluetooth Speaker provides excellent speech output. The clever design means it can be attached to the strap or worn on the included lanyard around the neck. However you choose to use the speaker, one big advantage is that the voice will come from the person rather than the computer, creating a more natural communication experience.

Smartbox's award-winning software, The Grid 3 is installed and included with every Grid Pad. It provides a complete AAC solution for people communicating with symbols, text or a combination of both. Other features include integrated social networking, media player, SMS and much more.  The standard Grid installation includes Australian adult and child voices, Picture Communication Symbols (PCS), SymbolStix, and other symbol libraries.

Resources are simple to update and edit on the go. Whether you need to add a cell to your grid or download a whole new grid set – you can do it all through your device, or through the Grid 3's new remote editing.

So what we have learned is that there is a balance between battery life, weight and processor power.

The current technology does not permit the lightest device with the longest battery power and most powerful processor in any one device or tablet.
There is a compromise of one feature with the others. 
Only Windows devices can run Grid 3.  The Grid Pad Go 8 is supplied with Grid 3 installed.
