Mobi 2 IntelliGaze

Mobi 3 has now replaced Mobi 2.

The Mobi 2 IntelliGaze has the ideal screen size for communication using eye gaze.  The screen is 12 inch with 4:3 aspect ratio. Engineered from the ground up in Belgium the Mobi 2 is designed for Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). Combined with the exceptional, state-of-the-art IntelliGaze eye gaze camera from Alea in Germany, the result is an elegantly engineered, slim-line system weighing approximately 2 kilograms, now with stable table-stand.

The Mobi 2 IntelliGaze  is supplied with Mind Express 4 and The Grid 2. Mind Express is supplied standard with Australian Realspeak, Picture Communication Symbols (PCS), SymbolStix, Sclera, Bliss and Mulberry symbol libraries.  Mind Express 4 features a QUICK EDIT mode which makes programming of symbols cells with image option, text and cell label readily accessible in a menu bar at the top of the grid page.  The Grid is optimised for many alternative access methods, and eye gaze with the Alea IntelliGaze is fully integrated.

Features:

• Based on Windows 7 Pro (32 bit) tablet with Intel Atom ZG 530, 1.6 GHz.  
• Memory: (improved spec from March 2014) 2GByte DDR2, 80 GByte SSD.  This is a solid state memory with no moving parts.  This helps to minimise impact damage to the memory storage and means no cooling fans are required.
• Access: resistive touch screen;  1 or 2 switches with numerous scanning modes in Mind Express 4; can be turned ON with an external switch press.
• Portability: suitable for wheelchair or table mounting using the in-built stand.  For mounting on a wheelchair, table or other furniture a Daessy quick release mounting plate is supplied in-built; a mounting adaptor plate for Rehadapt Monty system is also available (pictured under Images); supplied with a carry bag with handle or shoulder strap, and padded flap for use.

• Power: supplied standard with the high capacity battery (84 Wh) providing approximately 8 hours of continual use.

The Mobi 2 IntelliGaze versions:

We offer 2 versions of the Mobi 2 IntelliGaze.  The only difference between the 2 systems is the IntelliGaze eye gaze camera mode of operation.

Mobi 2 IntelliGaze-AAC

This eye gaze camera is fully integrated with the AAC software.  In this mode the AAC software is the primary application.  It is not intended that the user will be switching between programs independently.  Computer activities such as email, Facebook, ECU, photo albums, watching videos and so on would be carried out from within the AAC software.  The grid set selected for use would be set to open when the Mobi 2 IntelliGaze is turned on.  This version of the IntelliGaze eye gaze camera license can be upgraded to the Intelligaze 360 at any time (please see the price list below).  This can accommodate developing skills or future need as required.  

Mobi 2 IntelliGaze - 360

This eye gaze camera offers an extra facility as part of its own software.  The IntelliGaze 360 provides an Application Centre so that users can autonomously switch between different applications without the need to use the Windows desktop.  The IntelliGaze application Centre is optimised for eye gaze.  The Application Centre can be customised with links to favourite programs, which are launched by the user.  

Software:

Mind Express 4 is the latest powerful dynamic display software program from Jabbla. Mind Express 3 has been used widely in Europe and U.S.A.for many years. Mind Express 4 is very user friendly and features a Quick Edit Mode amongst its updated features.  Mind Express 4 pages can display symbols, photos, whole words or text-to-speech, with word and sentence prediction for generating messages for communication. Australian Realspeak is used to speak the messages or digitised speech can be stored using the in-built microphone.  A range of sample grid sets provide functional starter pages for communication using symbols, keyboards, whole phrases, in addition to some games, calendar, camera, photo album, music and movie player.
