How to use Dwell Clicker:

  • Dwell Clicker 2 provides on-screen mouse emulation.
  • It provides an excellent companion to QUHA ZONO gyroscopic mouse
  • It is ideal for people with RSI and people who use alternative pointing devices such as a headpointer or joystick.

Dwell clicking Dwell Clicker 2 allows you to use your mouse, or other pointing device, without clicking. You can dwell-click in the following way:

  • Move the pointer to the point where you want to click.
  • Leave the pointer in that position for a second or two – the exact length of time is configurable.
  • A mouse click will occur at that position.

Target snapping Target snapping is a feature that makes it easier to click on specific elements on the screen. These elements include buttons, menu items and links. Target snapping works by detecting elements near the pointer that you might want to click on, and locking onto the nearest element.
Visual dwell display During a dwell, the dwell progress is displayed visually using a circular progress bar, which shows how much time is left before the point at the centre of the indicator is clicked. It also indicates whether Dwell Clicker 2 has “snapped” to a target.
Click lock After a right-click, double-click, or drag, the click type will revert to left click. You can prevent this by “locking” the click type. To lock the click type, select it twice.

Examples of use:

Dwell Clicker 2 helps you access all of your computer, and here are a few examples of ways it can help. (See IMAGES for screen shots)

  • Login to Windows without using a mouse! Dwell Clicker 2 works with the Windows login screen (requires Windows Vista or later).
  • Some buttons, especially on toolbars, can be very close together. Use Dwell Clicker 2’s built-in target snapping to lock on to the right button.
  • If you rely on dwell clicking, the UAC prompts that sometimes appear when you’re working with your computer can be difficult to get rid of. But Dwell Clicker 2 works just fine with UAC prompts. (User Account Control (UAC) is a technology and security infrastructure introduced with MS Windows versions.)
