Our Long Term Rental program is designed to provide a longer term use of a device for situations beyond trial, for example while waiting for funding approval, or other interim purpose.
Equipment:
The equipment we can provide is subject to availability.
The long-term rental equipment pool includes devices which have recently been superseded and removed from our trial pool including:
- Tablet devices with Grid 3, for direct/touch access or switch access, eye gaze equipment, and text-to-speech devices.
- Mounts are available for Long Term Rental at our normal Trial fees. In most cases, it may be more cost effective to purchase a mount.
The device options available:
- The Surface Eye Gaze Bundle is a Surface Pro 7 device with outgoing Alea IntelliGaze CAM30NT eye gaze camera. It would be supplied with a USB hub and Bluetooth adapter to allow for phone connectivity.
- Grid Pad 12 with or without Alea IntelliGaze Cam30NT eye gaze camera.
- The Grid Pad Eye 13 is the old superseded Grid Pad model, and would be supplied with the Alea IntelliGaze Cam30NT camera.
- The Grid Pad Pro 10 (this is the old superceded Grid Pad 10, not the current Grid Pad 10s)
- Allora 2
- SL40 LightWriter
Mounting:
As the mounts we supply are still the current models, these are available to hire at the standard trial fees:
- Clamp-on or Table Mount: $440.00 for 3 months
- Rolling Mount: $1400 for 3 months (VarioLock or TeleLock available for hire, other versions also available for purchase)
- If the rental period is likely to be longer than 3 months, you might consider purchasing a mount rather than hiring one.
Rental Details:
- The program is based on rental periods of 3-month in length.
- The first 3-month period allows a 'grace' period of 1 month.

While long-term rental is not intended for device evaluation or trial, If the equipment has not been previously trialled, and if the equipment is found unsuitable for your needs, it can be returned within the first month to receive a 50% refund of the rental fee.

If the device is found unsuitable within the first 1 month, it can be returned and 50% of the rental fee can be refunded. Following that time, no further refunds are available.
- The invoicing for this program is on a strictly 3-month basis. We will touch base with you towards the end of each 3-month period to see if a further 3-month rental is required.
Long Term Rental fee Includes:
- Supply of an AAC device from the long-term rental equipment pool, subject to availability.
- Postage both ways.
- A 45 minute Video Call with a Zyteq AT Consultant to assist in the initial set up of the equipment.

Price Guide:
- Tablet Device $1500 for 3 months
- Text-to-Speech Device $900 for 3 months
Buy-Out
- Some equipment may be available for ‘Buy while on Hire’. This can be considered on a case-by-case basis.
