Big Red Switch

The essential basic BIG switch, with round activation surface of 127 mm (5 inch) diameter. Interchangeable coloured tops.  

The Big Red Switch is the original and one of the most well known switches, long considered the 'standard' BIG switch in the industry.  It is a simple mechnical switch which can be used to control speech generating devices, toys, environmental control units and computers. The round surface area is 127 mm (5 inches) in diameter and when activated provides a definite auditory "click" and travel of approximately 2 to 5 mm. This auditory and proprioceptive feedback can be useful when the switch is out of sight, for example mounted as a knee switch or for elbow access.  This switch can be positioned for use at many switch sites.  Mounting accessories are available for this purpose.  A compatible mounting plate is available. The colourful tops are interchangeable. Red, blue, green and yellow caps are supplied with the switch.  The cable is 180 cm long and the jack is a 3.5mm phono plug.
