Introducing our new investors, Verdane
We are excited to share a milestone that will help us towards our mission to ensure no one is left without a voice.
Verdane, a European independent investment firm that specialises in supporting sustainable technology organisations, is set to become the Smartbox Group’s new investor.
Why partner with Verdane?
Verdane is driven by the core belief that respecting people and planet creates the strongest foundation for growth. The Verdane team specialises in partnering with software and tech-enabled businesses, like the Smartbox Group, helping them to scale sustainably and reach their goals.
At its heart, this new partnership is about developing our reach to provide more voices to more people around the world. With Verdane’s support, we will invest even more into research and development and our support services as we remain committed to delivering successful outcomes with the AAC users we serve. With Verdane, we can enhance our commitment to innovation and continue raising the bar for what AAC technology can achieve.
Our aim is to extend our reach to serve more people across the UK, US, Europe and Australia, and grow our presence in new places, supporting more people in having their voices heard.
How did we make our decision?
We have worked closely with our parent company CareTech, which will remain a minority shareholder, to find a new partner to help us continue on our mission to reach more people, whilst remaining dedicated to improving our service for the AAC community.
We approached the selection process with great care, and Verdane emerged as the standout choice, not only for the deep knowledge they can offer on growing like-minded organisations, but for the time and effort they took to understand the world of AAC.
