We’re excited to share some big news: Zyteq is now part of the Smartbox family of companies.
Smartbox is a global leader in assistive technology, and we’ve had a strong partnership with them for many years. Their products – including Grid software and Grid Pad devices – have been a key part of our AAC offering here in Australia. By joining forces, we’re opening the door to new opportunities, while continuing to do what we do best: supporting people of all ages with complex communication needs.
A shared vision for AAC
Since 2008, Zyteq has been proudly Australian-owned and operated. Founded by Tracey Bode, our team has grown into a national service, working closely with AAC users, families and professionals right across the country. We’ve walked alongside many of our clients through every stage of life – from first words on a device, to school, work and beyond.
As Tracey plans for retirement, she’s been carefully considering the future of Zyteq and the community we support. We wanted to ensure that Zyteq would continue to thrive – staying true to our values while evolving to meet future needs. Smartbox is the perfect fit. We’ve always shared a deep commitment to making sure no one is left without a voice.

We’re still the same Zyteq team you know and trust. We’ll continue to offer the same great service and support, now with even more resources behind us. Over time, you’ll see our range of Smartbox devices grow, and we’ll have more opportunities to collaborate with the global AAC community on product development, training, and support.

Will the name Zyteq change?
There are no immediate plans for anything to change - we’ll continue to be Zyteq. You might notice some small changes to our logo and branding over time to reflect our new identity within the Smartbox Family.
Will the products or services change?
Our core range remains the same – including Smartbox products – and we’ll be able to offer even more in the future. Our commitment to personalised support, expert advice, and training is not changing.
How will this affect clients?
Our focus is, and always will be, on the people who use AAC. You can expect the same great service from our team, with added opportunities to access new technology and expertise through our partnership with Smartbox.
