Bluetooth speaker can be added to boost speech output volume. The brand of speakers we supply are approved by Smartbox for use with Grid 3. There is code in Grid 3 to manage the sleep/wake of the speaker, so that the first syllable can be heard.

How To Trial: Microsoft Surface Go - AAC Bundle
Equipment trial is key to making a good purchasing decision. We view equipment trial as a collaborative process, because we appreciate that choosing specialised technology to suit an individual need and a unique situation is more involved than purchasing from a retail store. If you feel that you do not need extra assistance or any specialised adaptations then please go ahead and make your purchase from a retail store.
Our responsibilities in the trial process – are to provide the equipment and the support and information to ensure you are able to decide whether this is the right device for you at the end of the trial period. It may not be the right device and that is fine. The aim is to have a clear picture of what worked for you and what didn’t.
Your responsibilities in the trial process – are to dedicate the required time to evaluating the equipment; trying out what you would like to do with the technology and being available at the check points to discuss progress and ask questions.

As we only supply specialised technology we usually recommend support from a clinician during the trial period.
This is to ensure that the outcome of the trial process is the selection of the most suitable equipment for the individual.
The hire period provides the opportunity to fully explore the equipment and its use, ask questions, adjust settings and try all relevant aspects of the system.
If you are not working with a clinician and don’t require an assistive technology report you can undertake a trial of the MS Surface Go - AAC bundle through our Purchase or Return offer. (Subject to availability)
This works by initiating the purchase of the system.
Prior to the dispatch of the new device you will receive a document around the terms and conditions of the “purchase or return” policy. It is important that all the terms are fully understood so we also offer a phone call at this point to run through the document. We want to ensure full transparency about the return terms and conditions, to avoid misunderstandings or disappointments if the device is returned.
Once the signed document is returned the next step of the order can take place. You will receive a new system which you would own unless you decide to return it because it is unsuitable.
It will be important for us to keep in touch during the first 30 days and so we will establish the best contact person and best way to communicate.
The timeline to return the system is 30 days. This means you can decide at any time within the 30 days to return the equipment to Zyteq for a refund*. The equipment must be dispatched from your premises by the 30th day.
We have a procedure for this which is provided at the time of purchase. All details are in the pre-purchase agreement also.
During the 30 days we are available to assist with your trial through your Premium Plan support sessions. This can help you to feel fully informed about the device and how to use it head of deciding whether it is the most suitable system for you.
If the device proves to be not suitable and you wish to return it there is an application to return the equipment which requires some details such as the reason for return.
There are two important points to note about return:
If returning the device it must be in resaleable condition. What this means is that all packaging, included documents, accessories must be returned in clean and “as new” condition. Proof of purchase must be provided.
Once returned the equipment is checked and evaluated and your refund will be calculated. The refund will take the purchase price and deduct a 15% restocking and service fee, plus any additional costs to replace any missing or damaged items.
This fee is to cover the value of what has essentially been a hire period including the services and support to provide an opportunity to trial and evaluate the device.
Refunds are made to the same method of payment received upon purchase.
Purchase or return is not available for special orders or customised systems.
We offer 12 weeks hire however this is not intended to serve as the initial trial. First a 2 or 4 week trial should be undertaken to ensure this is the correct system. Once this is established we can go ahead and turn the 2 or 4 week trial into a 12 week trial as a continuous period in most cases where funds are in place.

1) Battery Life: Surface Go 2 battery life: Up to 10 hours of battery life based on typical Surface device usage. Testing conducted by Microsoft in February 2020 using preproduction software and preproduction configurations of Surface Go 2. Testing consisted of full battery discharge with a mixture of active use and modern standby. The active use portion consists of (1) a web browsing test accessing 8 popular websites over multiple open tabs, (2) a productivity test utilising Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook, and (3) a portion of time with the device in use with idle applications. All settings were default except screen brightness was set to 150nits with Auto-Brightness disabled. Wi-Fi was connected to a network. Battery life varies significantly with settings, usage and other factors.

Level 1 support is included with purchase of Zyteq’s major systems. This is for support which includes “basic issues and questions of a straight-forward and simple nature,” and it is available during business hours (AEST). Free advice and support is also available where instructions and resources are provided for a "do-it-yourself" solution. Many useful support instructions and troubleshooting strategies are located on our website, which is continuously accessible. For the more involved questions or for a personalised training session the Premium Plan is included for the first 3 months, and can be renewed after expiry.
A 3 month support plan is supplied with your device. This is over and above Level 1 support and is ideal for help with getting started with a new system, or for a block of assistance for to cover a special setup or to receuve training on an aspect of the device or programming of the software.
Microsoft Extended Hardware Service is cover for Complete Accident. This option extends the commercial warranty from 2 to 3 years & you can make up to 2 claims within this period for accidental damage.
The Surface Tablets we supply come with a 2 year commercial warranty. This provides a number of extra terms over the the standard warranty, for example this means that a device found to be faulty within 30 days will be replaced. You can access the Support for Business and register a service request directly with Microsoft, or we can access this service on your behalf. The standard retail warranty is just 1 year.
