Talk Pad 2nd Gen by Smartbox

Talk Pad is designed so your voice is always with you, wherever you go.

Designed for AAC users. Designed alongside ACC users over 3 years.
Talk Pad can be used with any iPad-based communication software, including Grid for iPad.
Grid for iPad software gives you instant access to a wide range of grid sets.
Carry it on the move using the tactile grab-handle, or attach the neck strap.
Mount it to a stand or wheelchair, (via mount plate option) or position using the rubberised, adjustable stand.
Get your message across loud and clear, via the loud in-buiilt speakers.
Access the touchscreen directly, and add a keyguard if you prefer, or plug in switches for switch access, or use Bluetooth connection for any wireless accessories.
Large bright blue buttons so volume and power buttons stand out.
Tones to confirm charger and switch connection, and LED indicators to confirm switch activation.
An iOS system with Grid for iPad or add other AAC apps.
Drop tested to 1 metre. IP Rating 22 (when positioned in a typical upright or angled position)
Supplied with carry bag, neck strap, one charger (2 connections), Talk Pad Manual, Talk Pad Setup Guide.
Three colours: charcoal, pistachio and coral.

Two sizes: 8.3 and 10.2 inch screeen.

Who is the Talk Pad for?

The Talk Pad is ideal for someone wanting to carry a device and use it on the go.

Use the in-built rubberised grab-and-go handle, and attach the neck strap.

Touch screen access can be enhanced by adding a keyguard.

This is attached using a frame, which means it is secure and will not accidentally dislodge, but can be removed for cleaning.

Durability

Robust design

Talk Pad is ready for the inevitable knocks and bumps of everyday life.
The mechanically reinforced structure has been drop tested to 1m and is IP22 rated, providing protection against dust and water splashes.

Enhanced port durability

The switch and power ports have been rigorously tested 10,000 times during the manufacturing process to guarantee long-lasting durability.

Extra tough screen

Talk Pad comes complete with an impact and scratch-resistant antiglare screen protector.
The raised front bezel of the case also adds further protection from accidental drops.

The Talk Pad is ideal for positioning for use.

The adjustable stand and mount plate (option) mean that the Talk Pad can be positioned for direct touch access (with or without a keyguard), or wired switches connected, or Bluetooth accessories used for access such as the QUHA ZONO X. Use the adjustable stand to change the angle when using on a table or on the floor. There is a mount plate for both the 8 and 10 inch models.
